Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Iola Vision Source the leading provider of vision care products and services in Iola.

Dr. Douglas Donnelly

Dr. Matthew D. Skahan

Dr. Skahan was raised in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1994. He then went to Pittsburg State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998. In 2002, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee with his Doctorate of Optometry. He provides primary eyecare including: fitting of contact lenses, prescribing glasses, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. He works closesly with cataract, refractive, and retinal surgeons to ensure the best care for his patients. He is a member of the American Optometic Association and the Kansas Optometric Association.

Dr. Skahan previously served on the board of directors for the Eye Care Council, board of directors for the Allen Community College Endowment Association, and the Iola Chamber of Commerce board of directors even serving as President.

His interests include weightlifting, and spending time with his children. Dr. Skahan’s wife, Lesley, is also from Iola. They have three boys Jake, Gage, and Mason. They attend St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola.
